It appears that the New Left are not changing “houia” and are asking a formal question in Parliament about a disparaging our country for an article about Evros and immigration.
A short time ago a BBC report, which was sourced… migrant smugglers, migrants and a Greek journalist who has contacts with strange NGOs, referred to the existence of masked men at the Evros border who secretly send illegal migrants back to Turkey and even hinted that the Greek authorities were behind this ring. Of course, Kyriakos Mitsotakis angrily denied it, while the Ministry of Immigration and the Ministry of Citizen Protection did the same.
Here we see yet another attempt to discredit our country, just as they did with the allegedly dead Maria of Evros. An attempt that comes from the same circles that constantly accuse Greece of guarding the borders.
And miraculously, the publication reached the Parliament from the Nea Aristera. The party, which has Gavriel Sakellaridis as its interim leader and Peti Perka as head of the C.O., in a question to the relevant ministers talks about… “paramilitary groups” and “mercenaries”, essentially discrediting our country and the Greek authorities while giving footing to Turkey.
Of course we didn’t expect anything better from the New Left but now they behave more like an NGO representing foreign interests than a party of the Greek parliament. Because to unquestioningly adopt such a publication, knowing the provocations that certain circles connected to the immigration issue have been waging against Greece for many years, is at least irresponsible, if not nationally dangerous, attitude.
But there is one more parapolitical interest. The question is signed by nine New Left MPs, that is, all but two: Alexis Haritsis and Efi Achtsioglou.
Why?Obviously not because they suddenly changed their minds on immigration. The reason is that there is no longer any real contact with the other members of the K.O., as they are preparing to depart for Tsipras side.
Who Alexis Tsipras of course had proven the lie of the supposedly dead Maria of Evros at the time and was condemning the Greek government and the Greek authorities. But what are we going to remember now.
