Meeting with the President of the Republic, Constantine Tasoulas was held at 12:00 noon by the Prime Minister,Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Presidential Palace.
The visit of the Prime Minister to the President of the Republic was held in the framework of the monthly regular briefings of the Prime Minister. During the meeting, the Prime Minister briefed Mr Tasoulas on all current developments following the presence of French President Emmanuel Macron in Athens.
“It was a visit with special symbolism, we reaffirmed the solid ties between the two countries,” said Mr. Mitsotakis, stressing that Athens and Paris share a common vision for the future of Europe.
The Prime Minister noted that in the recent global geopolitical environment, “the Greek government has done its best to support Greek interests.gr/noikokyria”>households, always within the framework of fiscal rules.”
For his part, the President of the Republic spoke warmly about the cooperation between Greece and France. “Our strategic relationship is proven by the famous clause of assistance,” he said.
“The policy of fiscal discipline and compliance does not distribute money unnecessarily and popularly, but protects the future from frivolities,” he said. Tassoulas, stressing that our country in the past “paid for such foolishness.”
