Johnson & Johnson MedTech presents the DUALTO™ Energy System, a new integrated technology system that aims to substantially upgrade the way surgical energy is delivered.
DUALTO™ brings together in one device all the forms of surgical energy that surgical teams need and combines multiple energy technologies into a single, easy-to-use system suitable for different types of procedures.1,2
Designed to cover a wide range of surgical treatment approaches, DUALTO™ offers a simplified user experience and supports the flexible use of monopolar, bipolar, ultrasonic and advanced bipolar energy tools in open and minimally invasive surgical procedures.3,*
With a focus on reducing complexity within the operating room, DUALTO™ introduces an integrated approach to surgical energy management. The modular design and flexible system architecture allows for up to 46% smaller footprint compared to the use of separate generators.3 To date, the system is also the first and only solution on the market that can operate in a double configuration, allowing two surgeons to activate power simultaneously in complex procedures – a feature that aims to significantly enhance synergism and improve overall surgical workflow.2.3 Ŧ †
Early evaluations from healthcare professionals who have used DUALTO™ are highly positive. According to scientific study data, 94% of surgeons consider the system to be easier to use compared to existing solutions4 **, and 100% of surgeons feel that the DUALTO™ system simplifies the user experience through a single, easy-to-use platform that controls all surgical energy used during a procedure.5*** For nurses in particular, 71% believe that the DUALTO™ energy system could reduce the level of stress for medical staff during surgery, through improved intraoperative system diagnostics and troubleshooting of equipment problems, compared to existing systems.6
The first DUALTO™ systems are already in Greek hospitals, allowing Greek surgical teams to use the technology in a real-world environment and help evaluate its performance in daily clinical use.
Christina Prifti, Commercial Director of the Surgical Division of Johnson & Johnson MedTech, said: “The DUALTO™ Energy System was created to substantially support the demanding work of healthcare professionals in the operating room. Its presence in Greece reinforces the collaborative and trusting relationship we have built with surgical teams over the years. As Johnson & Johnson MedTech, we work with dedication to deliver solutions that simplify their daily lives and allow them to focus on what matters most: patient care.”
DUALTO™ paves the way for the next generation of surgical power, with the primary goal of safer and more efficient patient care and facilitating the work of healthcare professionals.
