The Police were alerted on Tuesday morning to an incident of shots fired at the building housing services of the Efka at the intersection of Venizelos and Ethnikis Antistasis in Kerameikos.
According to reports, an elderly man, reportedly an 89-year-old radio collector, entered the premises wearing a caparilla, inside which he was hiding a shotgun.
The elderly man fired resulting in injuries at least one officer in the leg, whose health condition remains unknown.
Subsequently, he fled with authorities having launched a manhunt for his arrest.
