The Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was entered into by the GEK Terna Group and Airbus.
The aim of this cooperation is to create integrated solutions in Greece in areas such as military satellite communications and critical infrastructure resilience.
The partnership is based on the combination of GEK TERNA Group’s extensive experience in complex infrastructure, energy, environment, digital technology – IoT (Internet of Things) projects, with Airbus’ cutting-edge technologies and international expertise.
The partnership favours the maximum participation of Greek industry and the technology sector, as well as the transfer of technology and know-how. The two Groups look forward to stimulating innovation and strengthening domestic know-how, supporting the creation of a robust and competitive national ecosystem with regard to critical infrastructure protection and defence. The start is made with the military satellite programme, where Airbus offers European solutions that guarantee security and national autonomy.
The Memorandum of Understanding between GEK Terna and Airbus is a move of strategic importance, which aims to create long-term benefits for Greek industry. It is fully aligned with the broader vision of GEK TERNA Group to play a leading role in vital sectors that enhance national resilience and promote economic growth. At the same time, it supports Airbus’ objective to further strengthen its two-decade long presence in Greece.
