Captured shortly after 16:30 in Patra, the 89-year-old man who spread terror in Efka and the Court of Appeal was finally arrested.

According to reports, the 89-year-oldis believed to have gone on the run to Italy.

According to initial reports, the 89-year-old was spotted at a hotel and was reportedly carrying a second weapon, a 30-round revolver fully loaded with bullets.

Five people were from the fire, slightly injured.

The 1st Health District of Attica issued an announcement on the state of health of those injured in the armed attack by an 89-year-old man.

As reported, today 28/04/2026 evacuated with the EKAB a patient employee of the EFKA in the Emergency Department (ICU) of the General Hospital “KORGIALENEIO- BENAKEIO E.E.S.” after a reported shooting with a shotgun. The patient arrived hemodynamically stable. He sustained an injury to the posterior surface of the right foot, at the level of the heel. A complete clinical and laboratory examination and CT angiography was performed. It did not reveal anything major.

Subsequently, they were evacuated by ECAB to the General Hospital “CORGIANA-BENAKEIO E.E.S.” <four other women, employees of the Athens Court of First Instance, with similar injuries. A full clinical and laboratory examination was carried out which did not reveal anything major.

The patients at this stage are being treated conservatively.
