And there was the “manifesto” – not ours, the good one – of Alexis Tsipras, suggesting a a pageant contest with a bit of ideological mischief.
The much-hyped “manifesto”, which some have attempted to present as an intervention in the country’s political scene and an ideological bosom, was released reminiscent of something from the pageant’s wishes for world peace, health and joy around the world,combined with a revolutionary logic that refers to Syriza before 2015.
Alexis Tsipras’s cadres presented an essay of ideas – albeit reminiscent of an elementary school essay – in a desperate attempt to convince that something new is coming when the party is announced. The phrase “left of center”says it all since it actually means nothing. Of course there are many there in Alexis’s lairs who have such ideas, maybe they are some of those who had called the “troika” “institutions” to show that something changed in 2015 when they took power.
From there, it’s interesting that they managed to find four corners to the… triangle. Why do we say that? Because the head of the group that drafted the “manifesto” – Tsipras’, not ours – George Siakandaris in 2017 was writing to convince that it is not possible for social democracy and the radical left to co-operate,even though ecology has now entered the game.
He wrote, for example, in 2017 in liberal.gr that “to ask for the social democracy of compromise to be radical is like the alchemist seeking to make gold from non-precious metals. And to ask for it to be leftist is like trying to convince that the triangle has four corners.”
And he added: “This is social democracy a la Rasoulis, ‘now Buddha, now Cudas, now Jesus and Judas’“.
Other times, other morals, one might say. Perhaps, but really anyone who reads this “manifesto” – not ours again – will understand that an attempt is being made to present the ruling left – the one that will come again and be different, as one soul used to say, but which will be left on the outside – as something different and more… expanded.
Otherwise: as has already been shown, the same Alexis with the same words and the same intentions…
