The accident

According to tempo24.news, three people were injured by the fall to the ground: a journalist from Athens, a cameraman and a photojournalist from Patras, who suffered injuries to their limbs and were evacuated by ambulances of the ambulance service to the hospital.

The rest of the media representatives present suffered minor injuries and it was not deemed necessary to transport them to a hospital.

As pelop.gr reports, the incident allegedly began when, during the process of covering the event, company officials indicated to journalists and photojournalists to climb a boarding staircase in order to ensure better shots. About 10 to 15 people were reportedly gathered on the ladder, which led to its collapse.

The same report noted that the equipment did not appear to be suitable for such a load, and there was a reference to the handling of the process that raises questions about the organisation of the event.
