French President Emanuel Macron today called for a reopening of Sea of Hormuzcoordinated between Iran and the US, upon his arrival in Armenia for the 8th Summit of the European Political Community.
The French president appeared cautious about the new operation launched by the US president Donald Trump to start the blocking of this important sea route, criticizing an unclear framework.
Macron today also deemed it vital to respect the ceasefire in Lebanon after new Israeli strikes caused the death of a man in the south of the country.
I want to say here that it is essential that the ceasefire in Lebanon is respected, he said on his arrival for the summit in Yerevan.
This is the commitment made by the parties and I say this for the sovereignty, independence of Lebanon and the protection of civilian populations, the French president added.
