Energy upgrade at the 2nd Primary School of Megaron and at the Dmunicipal Katastasis of Nea Peramos, provides for the programmatic contract, amounting to 522,000 euros, which was co-signed by Nikos Chardalias and mayor Panagiotis Margetis.

In the framework of the project, which will be funded by the OP “Attica 2021-2027“, thermal insulation of walls, replacement of windows, central heating boiler and lighting fixtures will be carried out, with the aim of saving energy.

In subsequent statements, the regional governor, referring to the contract, noted that it is part of the strategy that transforms European resources into tangible work for local communities, stressing: “In the Region of Attica we are consistently implementing an integrated plan for the energy upgrade of public buildings in every corner of the Attica basin, aiming for modern, safe and functional infrastructure that reduces energy costs, protects the environment and improves the daily life of citizens”.

Hardalias, referring to the Municipality of Megareon, said that with the mayor Panagiotis Margetis there is close cooperation in order “to give the place modern infrastructure and development prospects”. The energy upgrade, he noted, comes in addition to a series of important interventions that are progressing in the region, such as the redevelopment of Vareas beach, the major flood control projects in Nea Peramos, the ongoing support of social structures – and most importantly, the major water supply project in Kineta, which finally solves a major problem of decades. “We are actively standing by West Attica, proving that the region is present in every neighbourhood, with a plan, responsibility and measurable results”, the regional governor stressed.

For his part, Mr. Margetis, referring to the contract, said that “this is a project with a clear environmental and social footprint, which improves conditions for students and workers, while also helping to reduce energy costs and upgrade municipal infrastructure. Our goal is the smooth and timely implementation of the project, for the benefit of the local community.”
