The remark that “without Dimitriadis there is no man who connects Maximou with ministers and deputies” was made by Sofia Voultepsi.
Asked specifically at BankingNews.gr about interventions by New Democracy MPs in relation to the governance model, the former minister and MP referred to the poor functioning of the so-called executive state due to the absence of Gregory Dimitriadis.
In her statements on the MAGGA show on BNtv, Sofia Voultepsi also referred to the reactivation of Alexis Tsipras, saying that “he has told so many lies and unfortunately, people don’t change”. He called Zoe Konstantopoulou “a component of the extremes”.
Hate rhetoric
The ND MP also criticized “the political and hate rhetoric” of the opposition, as she said it “leads to the far right” and turned her fire against PASOK for “creating the institutionalized difference.”
About the stance of the opposition on the issue of surveillance, she said: “PASOK has been blaming prosecutors throughout time, it is clear that Dimitriadis had no knowledge of the backlinks.” She added that “legal backlinks existed under SYRIZA as well, which increased them from 5,000 to 10,000-15,000.”
Samaras held meetings with Turkey
As for Antonis Samaras‘s interventions on foreign policy issues, Sofia Voultepsi said the former prime minister’s reactions and statements were exaggerated, recalling: “Samaras also held meetings with Turkey and then Navtexes were issued and during his days Turkish ships were cruising.”
In reference to the OPEKEPE files on the involvement of political figures, she noted: “It is clear from the dossiers that the MPs did not break the law.” He made a special reference to the e-mail of Notis Mitarakis, saying: “Mercy! We all send e-mails for those who know to evaluate it.”
Kovesi should not enter our fields
Finally, Sofia Voueltechi commented on the attitude of Laura Kovesi, noting: “The European Public Prosecutor’s Office is going beyond the call of duty, not telling us what MPs will do. Romania has no experience of separation of powers.” He urged the head of the European Public Prosecutor to “stop communicating and stay out of our territory”.
