Announcements about a secret meeting of Alexis Tsipras with the German ambassador in 2014 and revelations in the documentary with spikes for a double political line against Berlin.

Severe political reactionsare caused by the revelations of the documentary “In the Hill”, with Adonis Georgiadis launching a fierce attack against Alexis Tsipras, bringing to the front allegations of behind-the-scenes contacts in the period before the rise of Syriza to power. Citing testimonies attributed to the then German ambassador Peter Soof, the health minister claims that there was a private meeting in Koumoundourou, at a time when publicly harsh anti-memorandum rhetoric was prevalent, intensifying the debate about political credibility, negotiation strategies and the real intentions of the opposition towards the European institutions.

The secret meeting that Alexis Tsipras had with the German ambassador in his office in Koumoundourou in 2014 is referred to by Health Minister Adonis Georgiades in a post on platform X.

Some time after the screening of the SKAI documentary “In Chiliosto” by Eleni Varvitsioti and Viktoria Dendrinou and the revelations about the content of Alexis Tsipras’ talks with the German official, Adonis Georgiades described the former prime minister as a “terrible liar”and added that “he is by far the biggest political impostor in our modern history!”.

His post detailed:

German Ambassador to Greece in 2014 revealed in @SkaitvGR’s documentary of Mr. Varvitsiotis/Dendrinou, that at the very same time he was telling the world “go back madame Merkel”, “we will abolish the Memoranda with one law and one article”, and “that we will beat the drums and the Markets will dance”, at the very same moment he asked and secretly saw the Ambassador in his office and told him:

“Tsipras’ unknown meeting with the German ambassador in 2015: he conveyed to Berlin that we will cooperate. Peter Soof, the German ambassador in Athens, reveals he had a secret meeting with Alexis Tsipras in 2014 at Koumoudourou. “It was just the two of us, he was polite despite his public confrontational rhetoric. What I perceived was his intention to convey to Berlin that there was no cause for concern and that SYRIZA and his government would cooperate.”

@atsipras is by far the greatest political impostor in our modern history! A terrible liar!”
