The government spokesman commented that the communications were institutional and how the parties came down to two people.
In more than 20 contacts between the president of PASOK Nikos Androulakis and the deputy prime minister Kostis Hatzidakis on the issue of the Independent Authorities was mentioned by government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis, claiming that there had been agreement that was subsequently not honoured.
As stated by New Republic, “through the vice president of the government, Kostis Hatzidakis, apparently in coordination with the prime minister”, has made a proposal to PASOK to find the necessary votes so that “the country can have independent authorities“. He noted that he did not want there to be a mobile phone demonstration process, noting however that “mobile applications, calls have a historical“, and that Nikos Androulakis “in the last three months, I don’t know if he has spoken 30, he has certainly spoken more than 20 times“, referring to calls and messages.
He also commented that these communications were institutional, stating that “and they were very good to speak institutionally, because that’s the only way the country will have independent authorities,” adding in a mocking tone that he did not know if they were also discussing “the playoffs” or “the final four”.
According to the government spokesman, after these contacts and the sending of biographies, the two parties came up with two persons “one that our parliamentary group wanted more, Mr Macridimitri, and one that PASOK wanted, Ms Sygouna“.
He claimed that “after all these communications and the exchange of calls, Mr Androulakis feared that his potential partners would make him in Parliament that he was talking to the cool right-wing,” adding that “Mr Androulakis had agreed on Mr Makridimitri”.
Finally, he noted that this is why “Mr. Kaklamanis, the Speaker of the House, did not go crazy and read these two names,” arguing that if there was no agreement, he would not have proceeded to announce them.
