A formal lunch was hosted by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Giorgos Gerapetritis, in honour of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, as part of his visit to Athens.

Earlier, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was received at the Presidential Palace by the President of the Republic, Constantine Tasoulas. The reception and the warm handshake took place in front of the cameras, with the presidential guard in the background.
