The New Democracy conscience of the death of former Member of Parliament for Aitoloakarnania Christos Fotopoulos has caused a stir.

A human being who linked his name with the public life of the place and the political path of the party for more than two decades.

Christos Fotopoulos was born in 1928in Gavros of Nafpaktia and followed a military career, graduating from the Military Evelpidon Military School and reaching the rank of Lieutenant General (retired). His presence in politics was long, as he served as an Member of Parliament for Aitoloakarnania from 1977 to 1989.

In announcement, the Press Office of New Democracy refers to a man with a “dynamic public presence”, who has worked consistently for both his homeland and the party.

At the same time, it is noted that he was distinguished for his “integrity, diligence and ethics”, elements that earned him the appreciation and love of his fellow citizens.

The New Republic extends its sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
