In a radio interview on WABC and the “Sid and Friends in the Morning” show, the US president appeared unequivocal, responding with an emphatic “100% will stop” to a question about whether Tehran’s development of a nuclear weapon can be prevented.
Mr. Trump revealed that he has taken personal charge of contacts with Iranian officials, noting, “I negotiate with them.”
He even used the term “nuclear dust” to describe the material he seeks to remove from Iran’s control, stating confidently that “we will get it.”
Despite the criticality of the situation, the US president made clear that his administration does not feel the need for a hasty deal, as he believes the existing exclusion and pressures are working to the benefit of US interests.
