File against two brothers, a 23-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man from Crete, for insulting and threateningan email message to Kosta Tsiaras when he was Minister of Rural Development was formed by the Directorate of Cybercrime

As stated in the announcementof ELAS the investigation was launched after a complaint made in September 2025 about a threatening and abusive e-mail to the e-mail address of Mr. Tsiaras’ political office.

According to information the e-mail includedheavy abusive expressionsagainst Mr. Tsiaras and Kyriakos Mitsotakis with threats such as “don’t believe that we won’t come one-on-one, we will come and we will you f… the house”.

The Cybercrime Directorate formed a case file of regular procedure against two residents for threatening and insulting, via internet, against a political person.

The investigation of the case was initiated after a complaint was filed against an email administrator, who according to the complaint sent an email in September 2025 to the email box of the political office, with threatening and abusive content against the political person.

The preliminary material collected was brought to the attention of the competent prosecuting authority, which ordered a preliminary examination.

From the subsequent thorough and thorough police and digital- internet investigation, as well as from the correspondence with the managing company, electronic traces and other available data were used, resulting in the identification of the involvement of the accused in the above criminal acts, as managers of the email box.

The file formed was submitted to the competent prosecuting authority.
