The Russian armed forces have launched at least “800 at least “800 drones” against Ukraine in one of the fiercest waves of attacks since the start of the war.

This was stated today by Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, adding that the tally so far is six dead and dozens injured.

Zelenski stressed that he does not consider it a coincidence that the attacks coincided with the arrival of US President Donald Trump in China. “It is certainly no coincidence that one of the most massive and prolonged Russian attacks against Ukraine occurred as the US president was arriving in China for a visit from which much is expected,” he said in a post on his X platform.

He also pointed out that the target was mainly areas of western Ukraine, near the border with NATO member states, calling once again for allies “to put real pressure” on Moscow to stop these attacks.
