The British Health Health Wes Streetingwalked out of the government on Thursday, saying he had lost confidence in the prime minister’s leadership Keir Starmer (Keir Starmer).

In a -long-running- in a letter shared with X he says he has “lost confidence”in the leadership of Kir Starmer and that it would be “dishonest and inconsistent with principles” to remain in government.

Where we need vision, there is a vacuum. Where we need direction, there is stagnation and decline,” he says in his letter, among other things, and even says directly to Kir Starmer that “it is now clear that you will not lead the Labour Party at the next general election.”

And he adds that what should follow is: “a battle of ideas… It must be open and involve the best possible set of candidates.”
