The bust of archivist Giorgos Liggeridis, who was murdered while on duty during incidents in Renti, vandalized by unknown persons, once again, with black paint.
Jiorgos Liggeridis moved all of Greece and a bust was made in his honor in Thessaloniki.
Who could have imagined that there would be someone or some people who would vandalize with paint and slogans the bust erected in memory of the tortured child whose loss plunged Greece into mourning.
A monument created to honour his memory, contribution and sacrifice was the target of an act that offends not only the family, but the entire society.
The case was reported, via a publication, by his mother, Eugenia Stratou – Liggeridou, who commented on the recaptured sad “feat” saying “And they continue their action undisturbed …”.
