Chancellor Friedrich Murch had a “good call” with US President Donald Trump, the former said in a post on the “X” platform.
The two leaders discussed the status regarding Iran and war in Ukraine.
“I had a good phone call with President Trump on his return from China. We agree: Iran needs to come to the negotiations table now. It must open the Hormuz Strait.Tehran must not be allowed Tehran to have nuclear weapons,” Friedrich Merz pointed out, adding that during his telephone conversation with the US president, a peaceful solution for Ukraine was still discussed, while the two leaders coordinated ahead of the upcoming NATO summit to be held in Angara.
“The US and Germany are strong partners within the framework of a strong NATO,” the chancellor said.
