Journalist Thanasis Avgerinos is at the centre of intense political criticism, just days after the official announcement of his co-sponsorship with Maria Karystianou ahead of the unveiling of her new party.
The decades-long correspondent in Moscow, who appears to be the frontrunner for the position of press spokesman and communications officer of the newly formed entity, adopted a highly insulting post against the prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, showing, perhaps, the path the new party will take.
Specifically, Mr. Aygerinos chose to repost (retweet) on the X (formerly Twitter) platform a comment, which contained strong language and insults against the prime minister.
In fact, accompanying the reposting, the journalist wrote the phrase “The right thing to say“, perfectly identifying with the content and style of the message.
