The strong reaction of Paul Kontogiannidis was provoked by the founding declaration of the party of Maria Karystianou.
The actor and president of the “Movement of the Poor of Greece” released a video on his personal TikTok account, expressing his indignation.
Pavlos Kontogiannidis claims that the central slogan of his own political scheme was completely copied, stating: “they stole from us what we had thought of for our own party, the Movement of the Poor.”
Proceeding to directly compare the two political declarations, the artist listed his own ideological platform in contrast to the announcements made in Thessaloniki, noting:
“Today we learned that the main pillar is “society with society for society“. The main pillar of our movement, the movement of the Poor of Greece, which took part in three elections, is “the man with the man for the man and the wronged with the wronged for the wronged”. Your conclusions.”
The position of the head of the “Movement of the Poor of Greece” extended to the way political parties are promoted, leaving hints of financial support for new formations.
Pavlos Kontogiannidis was quick to clarify that he does not wish to have a personal legal or other dispute with Maria Karystianou, but he insisted on the issue of appropriating his political philosophy, stressing:
“The fact that everyone is stealing our declaration, but unfortunately we don’t have the power with various sponsors, to have a much stronger image than the image that comes out through the Movement’s website, I challenge you to go in and read the declaration through the internet as well. Someday we may gain power too. For now they are stealing our ideas and philosophy.”
