METEN: Development and piloting of innovative dynamic pricing models for residential consumers.
The DEE Group is participating in the research project METEN – “Transforming Energy Pricing: From the Unified to the Dynamic Approach”, which is implemented in the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan”Greece 2.0″ with funding from the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
The METEN project is being implemented with the development and piloting of an innovative dynamic electricity pricing system for residential consumers, which will allow the adjustment of electricity prices according to demand, production costs and consumption profile.
The project, lasting 13 months, is one of the first integrated applications of dynamic pricing in Greece, contributing to the digital transformation of the energy sector and the transition to a more efficient and sustainable energy system.
The project has already developed and continues to develop mathematical optimization models and machine learning techniques for analyzing consumption data and supporting dynamic electricity pricing. At the same time, it is envisaged to install smart meters on residential consumers, collect and analyse consumption data in real time and develop an interactive digital platform that will allow users to monitor and manage their consumption efficiently.
With its participation in the METEN project, PPC reinforces its role as a leading provider in dynamic electricity pricing, while contributing to the development of new expertise in areas such as data analysis, understanding consumer behaviour and developing flexible pricing products. Participation in the project is part of PPC Group’s strategy to utilize digital technologies and innovative energy solutions, as part of its transformation into a modern Powertech Group.
