The well-known gymnast, Gogo Mastrokosta, passed away at the age of 56 in the early morning hours of May 25.
Gogo Mastrokosta, who had been fighting a long battle with cancer, had been hospitalized for the past two weeks at the Evaggelismos hospital as her health took a serious turn for the worse.
The news of her death was announced by her daughter, Victoria Della. “Today my beloved person passed away. The kindest soul, my best friend, the best woman I was so lucky to call mom. My mom was a fighter, a rock that never buckled. She didn’t complain, she didn’t sigh. She went through a lot in her life, but she faced it with strength and dignity,” Victoria Della said in a post.
“Mom, all I can do is be proud of you and admire you. In my life I hope to be just a little bit like you. You will forever be my eternal role model. And now I know that I will always have my guardian angel watching over me. I love you very much,” he continued.
