Life sentence(s) 1. sentence that can go up to 25 years “Thanasis was sentenced to life, so at most in 25 years he will be out”

2.sentence not served “you have no reason to worry since even if he is convicted he will be on probation, meaning the sentence will be for life” 3. deception, mockery “sorry, but 60 euros for a T-shirt is life imprisonment”

Civilization of crime

Giotopoulos was sentenced to 17 life sentences for instigating 17 murders and 25 years for other offences. Finally, at 24 years he was released from prison despite being completely unrepentant. Our famous “legal culture” once again showed its criminal predisposition and punished each murder with not even a year and a half in prison. For our judicial system and wise legislature found the value of life and it is not much greater than a stolen car.

“Democracy should not be avenged” we are told by the high judges of public life, but they forget to say that it is good not to turn the other cheek. As good as it is for Justice to stop being humiliated by the difference between a sentence imposed and a sentence to be served. Since our “legal culture” prefers criminals to walk free rather than be locked up in cells, at least let’s not pretend to punish them harshly.

Outdated

It is utterly foolish to try to convince fellow progressives that the image of the tower at Elliniko they share is distorted. Their problem is not the tower itself. It’s that their ideological certainties have been disproved and that people are moving on without asking their permission.

Couldn’t they find better presenters?

It was actually very interesting to watch the premiere of Carstianou‘s “Hope to Troop into Parliament” party, but it lacked presenters. Despite the diligent efforts of journalist Avgerinos and the expert on “alternative” (read: spraying or scamming) YouTubers Moutsatsatsou, no one had that something of an Anita Pania or a Sia Liaropoulou that the event demanded.

Don’t give a damn

The “activists” who returned from Israel are complaining of beatings by Spanish authorities, but don’t expect their complaints to make the Internet rounds or play as high as their arrest by the Israeli army. This play has no bad Jews and so it is somewhat difficult to move the “progressive” audience.
