The government’s new bill on pay transparency and combating inequalities in the workplace is referred to in a post by Niki Kerameos.
In her post, Labour Minister notes that with this bill “we are putting an end to hidden inequalities and strengthening the protection of employees before and after recruitment”.
And she stresses that pay should be determined by one’s job and merit, not by gender.

With our new pay transparency bill, we are ending hidden inequities and strengthening protections for workers before and after they are hired.
Because your salary should be determined by your job and your merit. Not by your gender.”
