Stelios Petsas estimated that elections will be held in March, citing the Greek presidency of the EU, while backing New Democracy as the most suitable governing force.

Petsas: The EU presidency, decisive factor for the ballot box
The assessment that the elections will not be held in autumn, but probably in March, said Stelios Pechas, a member of the New Democracy, speaking on Action NOW of Action 24.
He said he does not consider this to be an early election, as there are objective conditions that require it to be scheduled on a specific time horizon. In particular, he noted that Greece takes over the presidency of the European Union on 1 July and, in his view, the electoral process should be preceded, in order to allow sufficient time for the formation of a serious European agenda and coordination with the European partners.
The NWF MP also argued that the government is facing a difficult international and economic situation, taking with courage the necessary support measures for society and the economy, while maintaining a strong foreign policy and the country’s existing alliances.
Concluding, expressed confidence that the New Democracy is the most suitable political force to deal with the challenges of the period and estimated that citizens will recognize this effort at the call.
