The main focus of the events was to promote the Greek regions served by Italian cruise ships.

The multi-dimensional tourism product of Greece and especially the Greek destinations reached by the cruise ships of the Italian company MSC Cruises, was presented in four strategic events, organized by the EOT Italy in collaboration with the global cruise giant.

According to a statement, the workshops included presentations on board the MSC World Europa cruise ship in the port of Genoa on 22 March 2026and in the port of Civitavecchia in Rome on 30 March 2026, while two more followed in Bologna on 8 April 2026 and in Bergamo on 9 April 2026.

The main focus of the events was the promotion of MSC Cruises’ Eastern Mediterranean itineraries, with a focus on Greek destinations. The Head of the Italian EOT Service, Kyriaki Boulasidou, and the executives of the same service informed the participating Italian tourism professionals in detail about the experiences offered by each destination, from cultural heritage and historical monuments to alternative activities and local gastronomy, with the aim of further strengthening the image of our country as a destination offering numerous options 365 days a year.

Each event was attended by more than 100 travel agents and representatives of leading travel agencies from the respective regions,who expressed their keen interest in the opportunities that Greece offers in meeting the needs of modern travellers.
