In a post on social media, the Minister of Environment and Energy Stavros Papastavrou welcomed the new Deputy Minister Marilena Soukouli-Viliali to the Ministry, expressing his confidence that she will contribute substantially to the implementation of the goals of the Ministry of Environment and Energy.
Mr. Papastavrou described the new Deputy Minister as a professional with extensive experience in the private sector and the real economy, as well as a politician from Corinth with a continuous and substantial presence in public life over the past two decades.
At the same time, he emphasized that knowledge, hard work and the sense of responsibility that distinguish her are guarantees for the successful performance of her new duties.
“With the knowledge, diligence, and sense of responsibility that set her apart, I am certain that she will contribute substantially to the achievement of our goals: sustainable development with clear rules in the sector and environmental protection for the benefit of future generations,” he noted.
The minister also made special mention of the work and legacy of the late Nikos Tagaras, noting that Ms. Soukouli-Viliali is called upon to worthily continue the work he left behind.
