An incredible traffic accident occurred on Saturday, June 13, on Kifissos Avenue, in the lane heading toward Piraeus, when a truck crane collided with an elevated sign, causing parts of it to collapse onto the roadway.
The pieces of the sign fell onto the road while traffic was heavy, posing a serious danger to passing drivers and passengers.

Couple on a motorcycle miraculously escaped
Right behind the truck was a couple on a motorcycle, who were just a hair’s breadth away from the point of impact. Despite debris falling onto the road, the motorcycle rider managed to maintain his balance and avoid falling, resulting in no injuries.
The incident was captured in a video posted on social media. The footage shows the moment when the crane hits the sign and drags it away, while drivers of nearby vehicles slam on their brakes and drive away from the scene.
After the collision, the truck driver veered to the right and stopped in the Emergency Lane (EL). Traffic was temporarily slowed down until the pieces of the sign were removed from the roadway.
