Thousands of citizens are participating today in Athens Pride 2026 at Syntagma, featuring a parade, concerts, activities, and a European presence.

Athens Pride 2026 culminates today at Syntagma Square with the central slogan “Our rights are non-negotiable”. Since noon, crowds have been gathering for events featuring music, cultural activities, and awareness-raising initiatives, while the main Pride Parade is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

Colorful activities and events all day long

Organization booths have been set up early on organization booths have been set up, while the program includes musical selections by DJs, performances, and live artistic performances. At the same time, there are interactive information and awareness-raising activities, exchanges of messages of support, initiatives against stereotypes, as well as special programs for families and children.

Throughout the day, there are meet-and-greet areas, photo spots, and cultural performances. Shortly before the march begins, Agia Fanfara will be at Syntagma Square, setting the tone for the start of the events.

The march and the big concert at Syntagma

The Pride Parade begins at 7:00 PM with the participation of organizations, collectives, and floats, accompanied by musical groups and DJ sets. Participants will march through downtown Athens, sending a message of equality, acceptance, and visibility.

After the march concludes, the program continues with a large concert in Syntagma Square. Performing on stage will be Black Unit, Dimitris Samolis, Mitch T, Nasty Hiloudaki, Chryseida Gagouti, Fotis Lamaris and Matoula Zamani, accompanied by DJ sets and special performances.

European support for rights and diversity

The Office of the European Parliament in Greece, which is participating alongside the Representation of the European Commission and diplomatic missions in a joint booth in Syntagma Square.

With the message “IT’S ABOUT YOU (IT CONCERNS YOU)”, European institutions highlight that the stories, the rights, and the dignity of LGBTQI+ individuals concern society as a whole. Visitors can learn about the policies of the European Union regarding equality, non-discrimination, and human rights.

At the same time, Europa Experience Athens is participating in Pride Month with themed tours, screenings, and interactive experiences in central Athens. Throughout June, free events and cultural programs are being organized to promote visibility, equality, and freedom of expression, conveying the message that every story deserves to be heard.
