An accident occurred before the start of the Dodoni Rally, when a race car veered off the course and ended up in an area where spectators were standing.

According to initial reports broadcast by ERT, there is at least one injured person. At the same time, there are reports of a second injured person, possibly a child, though this has not yet been officially confirmed.

The incident in question occurred during the first Special Stage of the race. The race car with the number “17” veered off course under circumstances that are currently being investigated.

The car ended up crashing into spectators who were watching the race from that specific spot. Initial reports indicate that the person’s injuries are minor.

Event rescue workers and EKAV, while the race was temporarily suspended until the operation at the scene was completed.

A little earlier, there had been another accident involving another race car, though no one was injured.
