Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited projects currently underway on the island and met with residents at various locations in Rhodes. Footage from his tour was posted today on his personal social media accounts.
In the video, he is heard telling citizens: “You made New Democracy great; you gave us the opportunity to win the elections twice, and we will do it a third time.”

In another clip from the video in question, the prime minister appears sweaty due to the high temperatures, holding a handkerchief and joking: “We’re really working up a sweat.”
The phrase quickly began circulating on social media, with government officials using it as a catchphrase to describe the daily routine and pace of their tours.
Meetings with citizens and tourists
During the visit, Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke with residents of the island as well as with tourists who were in Rhodes on vacation.
A particularly memorable moment was when a 96-year-old man approached him to speak with him in person, and the prime minister stopped for quite some time to chat.
