The Israeli army is preparing for an Iranian missile attack against Israel following the attack on Beirut.
The Israeli army states that it is prepared for an Iranian missile attack against Israel in the coming hours, following the attack against Hezbollah in Beirut earlier. According to reliable sources, the Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Army, Eyal Zamir is conducting an assessment “with all relevant commanders” following the attack, and the current assessment is that “Iran will launch missiles against Israel.”
“The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) continue to maintain readiness and vigilance for various defensive and offensive scenarios,” it stated in a release, adding that “the IDF will not tolerate fire directed at the territory of the State of Israel.”
This followed a warning from the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bayar Ghalibaf, who said today: “The Zionist invasion of Dahiya (ed. Lebanon) has proven once again that the U.S. either lacks the will to honor its commitments or lacks the ability to do so,” stated the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, in a message.
“By giving the regime the green light, you cannot secure concessions,” he said, addressing the Trump administration. “The ‘good cop, bad cop’ game is outdated,” noted Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf. “If you lack the will and the ability to honor your commitments, it is impossible to talk about moving forward,” he said in the same vein.
Meanwhile, the deputy commander of Iran’s Joint Supreme Military Command, Mohammad Jafar Asadi, told Iranian state media: “The crimes committed by the Israelis in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital will not go unanswered.”
