A fire has broken out at a car parts store auto parts store in Menidi.
According to the Fire Department, the fire broke out around 9:30 a.m. at the store on Ionias Street in the Municipality of Acharnes, and efforts are underway to prevent it from spreading to adjacent buildings.
18 firefighters with 6 vehicles have been mobilized to extinguish the fire. Local government water trucks are providing assistance.
Traffic control measures have been implemented in the Menidi area by the ELAS.
Specifically, traffic has been suspended at the following locations:
-Ionia Avenue and the Attiki Odos bridge
-Orfeos Street and Ionia Avenue
-Kypros Street and Athanasiou Bosda Street.
