METLEN continues to strengthen its partnerships in the United Kingdom, as it implements a project for Elgin, a renewable projects, new photovoltaic parks with a capacity of 112.5 MW.

The Thorpe project with a capacity of 61.9 MW in Staffordshire and the Aston Flamville solar park in Leicestershire, with a capacity of 26.2 MW, are the latest additions to the partnership, following the previously announced Maes Mawr 24.5 MW Wales solar park.

METLEN has undertaken the design and construction of the projects, as well as the initial operation and maintenance services.

Once operational, the three projects are expected to generate enough clean electricity to power 48,000 households annually, while helping to avoid approximately 16,000 tons of CO₂ emissions each year.

To date, the company has completed or is constructing approximately 90 renewable energy projects in the United Kingdom and Ireland, with a total capacity of over 2GW of installed solar power, more than 1GWh of battery storage, as well as hybrid solar/storage projects with a capacity of 137MW/391MWh.

These include landmark projects such as the 373 MW Cleve Hill solar farm in Kent —the largest in the UK upon completion—as well as the 400MW Longfield Solar Farm, one of the largest licensed solar projects in the country.
