Chardalias: Focus on infrastructure in working-class neighborhoods
In his remarks, Nikos Hardalias emphasized that the Region’s strategic goal is balanced development and ensuring a minimum level of basic infrastructure for all citizens, particularly in areas that have lagged behind in development.
As he noted, it is unacceptable for densely populated areas to lack basic infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage, noting that these deficiencies are often linked to increased instances of delinquency and social problems.

For his part, Mayor Andreas Pahatouridis praised his collaboration with the regional governor, emphasizing that since their joint tenure in Local Government since 2002, he has observed his consistency and effectiveness. At the same time, he emphasized that the Attica Region has consistently supported the Municipality of Peristeri through major infrastructure projects, citing as a prime example the “Xylotechnia”, which, as he said, will contribute decisively to the cultural development of the region.
