Stamatis Zacharos criticized the presence of Palestinian flags at Pride, commenting on the attitude toward LGBTQ rights in countries of the Middle East.
“They should hold a Pride event in Palestine” – Zacharos’s stance
Stamatis Zacharos criticized those who participated in Pride while holding Palestinian flags, arguing that this choice contradicts the reality experienced by LGBTQI people in certain countries in the region.
“I don’t know why these people don’t get a float, hold a Pride in Palestine, whose flags they were holding,” he noted.
Continuing his remarks, the journalist spoke of an image that, in his view, is “also shameful for the LGBTQI community.”
As he noted, in these countries, the treatment of people with different sexual orientation is particularly harsh, highlighting that it is evident there how those belonging to the LGBTQI community.
