Andreas Loverdos confidently predicts a clear victory for Alexis Tsipras will decisively prevail in the battle for second place, estimating that the PASOK will be limited to third place in the political landscape.
Andreas Loverdos referred to the realignment of forces on the political scene and the momentum being built by political leaders ahead of the upcoming elections, offering a clear assessment of polling and electoral trends. Mr. Loverdos emphasized that the left’s voter base exhibits remarkable stability, a trend reflected in previous elections, regardless of internal leadership changes. “It is obvious that Tsipras will be the second party. I don’t want anyone to forget the result of the European elections, where Kesselakis’s party also came in second. This means there is a solid base of support for this faction,” he pointed out, while also recalling the party’s enduring electoral influence, as “it had received 17.8% in the second elections of 2023. Immediately, the existing dynamic was reaffirmed”.
This statement prompted an immediate response from journalist Giorgos Pierros, who sought to clarify the conclusion regarding the fate of Harilaou Trikoupi, asking directly: “So PASOK will come in third because Tsipras is stronger than Androulakis?”.
Andreas Loverdos responded bluntly, confirming this specific hierarchy and offering his own assessment of the parties’ poll numbers, as they stand at this juncture. “Obviously. Mitsotakis is in first place, Tsipras is second, Androulakis has 7%. And Koutsoubas has 5%”, he stated clearly.
