The Ministry of Education, Religion, and Sports announces that all candidates (GEL – EPAL) who are interested in submitting Computerized Application Form (M.D.) or Parallel Computerized Application Form (P.M.D.) may contact their high school from Wednesday, June 17, through Tuesday, June 30, 2026, to obtain a personal security code (password). In exceptional cases, candidates may also be assisted during the following days in July when high schools are open.

During the same dates, this year’s graduating seniors may also contact their high school, even if they have not submitted an application to take the 2026 national exams, in order to create a security code (password) for submitting their Application for Admission to Public SAEKs (formerly IEKs).

GENERAL INFORMATION

A. Starting Wednesday, June 17, the following candidates must go to their high school to create a personal password:

– Those who took the 2026 national GEL or EPAL exams and hold or are obtaining a high school diploma (GEL candidates) and a high school diploma and vocational diploma (for EPAL candidates), in order to subsequently submit an Application Form (M.D.) for admission to Higher Education and/or a Professional Admission Form (P.M.D.) for admission to Public SAEK (formerly IEK). Please note that if a candidate submits both an Application for Admission to Higher Education and an Application for Admission to Vocational Training Programs, the personal security code (password) will be the same.

– Graduates who took the national exams for daytime General Upper Secondary Schools (GELS) and Vocational Upper Secondary Schools (EPALS) in 2024 or 2025, are competing this year for the 10% of admission spots without taking a new exam, must submit a Computerized Application Form. It should be noted that graduates who are candidates for the 10% quota participate in the selection process based on the scores they achieved on their most recent exam. These candidates do not have the option or the right to retake an exam in a specific subject or the physical fitness tests for the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science (TEFAA), but the scores they achieved on their most recent exam are taken into account.

– Graduating seniors from General High Schools (GEL) and Vocational High Schools (EPAL) in the class of 2026 who did not take the Panhellenic Examinations but wish to submit a Parallel Computerized Application Form for admission to Public SAEK (formerly IEK).

Please note that applicants will submit both the Computerized Application Form (M.D.) and the Parallel Computerized Application Form (P.M.D.) during the same time period, which will be announced later. In general, the procedures for obtaining a password and submitting the Computerized Application Form will remain active and will be completed around mid-July.

B. Please note that candidates who had registered to take the 2026 national exams and are being referred, in accordance with current regulations, to the September repeat national exams, must submit a computer-based application after the repeat exams, at which time they will be able to obtain a personal security code (password).
