Dora Bakoyannis told SKAI that Alexis Tsipras cannot win the elections again, as citizens remember the record of his administration.

Criticism of the promises and responsibilities

Dora Bakoyannis, speaking on the “Today” on SKAI, launched an attack against Alexis Tsipras, expressing her conviction that he cannot prevail politically against the current government.

As he noted, the Greek people had believed the former prime minister’s promises, including his pledge that “with a single article and a single law, I will abolish the memorandum.” According to her, the events that followed are still fresh in the public’s memory.

Ms. Bakoyannis further argued that Mr. Tsipras is now attempting to shift the blame for the mistakes made during his time in office onto colleagues, presenting himself as uninvolved. However, he acknowledged that this line of reasoning is not easily accepted by the Greek people.

“He can’t win us over, because I don’t believe the Greek people will fall for it again. The Greek people believed Tsipras. When he told them, ‘With one article and one law, I’ll abolish the memorandum,’ they believed him. After everything that happened, the memory is still very fresh. He’s trying to pin everything on his associates, to say, “I didn’t make any mistakes—my associates did.” The Greek people aren’t buying that easily,”, she noted
