An increase in salaried employment in the private sector was recorded in April 2026, as the balance of hiring-separations is positive by 145,209 jobs.
Specifically, according to data from the “ERGANI” Information System regarding salaried employment flows in April 2026, job openings totaled 352,335, while separations totaled 207,126.
Of the 207,126 total separations, 91,273 were voluntary separations and 115,853 were terminations of permanent contracts or expirations of fixed-term contracts.
A comparison of the data for the two months, April 2026 and April 2025, it appears that April 2026 recorded a net gain of 11,302 jobs (a net gain of 145,209 jobs) compared to a net gain (133,907) in April 2025.
As announced, the employment flow balance for the month of April is always positive, and furthermore, the April 2026 figure is the highest recorded positive balancemonth of April from 2001 to the present.
For the period January–April 2026, job openings totaled 993,189, and separations reached 793,076, of which 473,129 were the result of terminations of permanent contracts or the expiration of fixed-term contracts, and 319,947 were voluntary departures.
