High risk of fire is forecast for tomorrow, Thursday, June 18, according to the Fire Risk Forecast Map, which puts both the relevant authorities and the public on high alert.
Specifically, the following areas are classified as high risk (Category 3, yellow): Lasithi, Heraklion, Karpathos, Lesbos, Ikaria, Samos, Chios, as well as Attica. It is worth noting that this is the first time this summer that Attica has been classified in this specific risk category.

Weather conditions, with high temperatures, low humidity, and strong winds, significantly increase the risk of fires breaking out and spreading rapidly. Authorities are urging citizens to be especially cautious and to avoid activities that could cause fires in the countryside, such as burning dry grass or using tools that create sparks.
At the same time, civil protection agencies are on high alert, with increased patrols and plans for immediate intervention in the event of a fire.
