Today, Wednesday, June 17, the visit by the Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, to the the U.S..
As announced, during his visit, Nikos Dendias met with executives from research institutions and American companies that are at the forefront internationally, in the fields of innovation and new technologies, in the defense sector.

Specifically, the Minister of National Defensewas briefed in detail on the latest developments in defense technology and, in particular, on the capabilities offered by new-generation autonomous unmanned systems, technological advances in robotics and cybersecurity, as well as the capabilities of high-power microwave systems.

He also had the opportunity to learn about advanced defense systems that enhance accuracy and speed up decision-making on the battlefield.

In Austin, Nikos Dendias visited the facilities of the company that manufactured the unmanned surface vessel of the U.S. Navy, which a few days ago rescued the crew of the Apache helicopter that crashed in the Persian Gulf.

The minister was accompanied on his visits by the director of the 6th Branch of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Panousis; the Consul General of Greece in Los Angeles, Christina Vassopoulou, and the Consul General of Greece in Houston, Lambros Kakisis.
