Aris Portosalte commented on Maria Karystianou, arguing that the main problems have been resolved and the discussion is being sidetracked.
“The central issues have been settled”
Referring to the public debate surrounding Maria Karystianou, Aris Portosalte weighed in during the broadcast of “Today” on SKAI, arguing that current events show that the country’s fundamental problems have been largely addressed.
As he characteristically noted, “all of this here where we live, it means that to a certain extent the key issues have been resolved. Because if they hadn’t been resolved, we’d be saying different things right now.”
Continuing his comment, he used his own expression, saying that, “I use the local dialect,” adding that, with the key issues “settled,” anyone can express whatever they want in public discourse.
Concluding his remarks, the journalist remarked ironically that society and public discourse “we’re having a great time,” offering his own take on the tension that has built up around this particular issue.
Portosalte on Karistianou: “Everything we’re going through here means that, to a certain extent, the core issues have been resolved. So—to use the local slang—with the core issues settled, everyone can say whatever they want—now don’t… pic.twitter.com/vAj6PI1xO0
