The decision not to vote for all the waivers of immunity for the New Democracy MPs mentioned in the Republic of Greece investigation into the OPEKEPE has been announced by Stelios Petsas.

As the ND MP told Alpha 98.9, “I will not vote for the waivers of immunity for all colleagues because I consider it both legally untenable.”

When asked about this, he did not specify which MPs he would not vote for, noting: “I do not accept the bagging. It is one thing for colleagues to ask for their immunity to be lifted so that they are not politically accused of hiding something, and another for part of the MP who votes according to his conscience to ignore the constitution and laws.”

According to Petsas, “Article 62 of the constitution is clear: MPs are not prosecuted for the exercise of their duties. If there is even one person among my fellow opposition friends who believes that the fact that he Vartzopoulos for a citizen does not fall within the exercise of their duties, we are talking about the heaven of hypocrisy and the circumvention of the constitution.”

Asked another question whether his refusal to vote for the waiver of immunity concerns most or fewer members of the New Democracy party, Petsas replied: “I will not vote collectively for the waivers of immunity.”
