The organization of traffic regulations at Elliniko is part of preparations for the EKO Rally Acropolis Special Stage and involves extensive temporary measures on major road arteries in the area, with the aim of ensuring the safe conduct of the event and avoiding traffic congestion during the racing portion. From 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on June 25, 2026, full and partial road closures will be in effect in the wider area of The Ellinikon, significantly affecting the flow of traffic, while the Traffic Police is issuing recommendations for strict adherence to traffic signs and the use of alternative modes of transportation, such as the Metro, the tram, and buses, in order to maintain the functionality of the road network in Southern Athens.

Significant traffic restrictions will take effect on Thursday, June 25, 2026, in the Elliniko area, due to the Super Special Stage of the 2026 EKO Acropolis Rally.

EL.AS. Guidelines

According to EL.AS., to ensure the safe conduct of the race, broader traffic restrictions will be implemented in the area surrounding The Ellinikon, in the Municipality of Elliniko–Argyroupoli. The measures include a temporary and complete suspension of traffic, as well as a ban on stopping and parking vehicles from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Specifically, the traffic measures will be implemented on Aeroporias Street, on the section between Lamia Street and the entrance to The Ellinikon, as well as on Eleftherios Venizelos Street, on the section between 29th Street and the complex’s entrance.

Authorities are urging spectators planning to watch the special route to use public transportation, such as the Metro, the tram, and buses, in order to reduce traffic congestion in the area.

At the same time, drivers are advised not to park their vehicles on Vouliagmenis Avenue, Alimos Avenue, and Poseidonos Avenue to avoid traffic problems and prevent traffic accidents. Parking should be limited exclusively to designated areas.

The Traffic Police urges citizens to comply with the relevant signage and follow the instructions of traffic officers, in order to ensure the smooth running of the event and better serve those traveling.
