“Iran has just announced that the Main Strait of Iranis fully open and ready for full passage. Thank you!” wrote Trump on his personal Truth Social page.
The opening of the Hormuz Strait is a key point of negotiations between Tehran and Washington to end the war.
Abbas Aragçı said the decision is in line with the ceasefire in Lebanon and aims to ensure smooth navigation in one of the world’s most strategic sea lanes.
