A fire broke out on Monday at noon in an area covered with dry grass and vacant lots in Spatabroke out at noon on Monday, in an area located between the city and the airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”.
At the scene, 45 firefightersfirefighters are working to put out the fire, along with two teams of foot soldiers from the 1st EMODE, 13 vehicles, three helicopters, and two aircraft. At the same time, volunteers and water tankers from local government agencies are assisting.
The firefighting forces are continuing the operation, with the aim of bringing the fire under control and preventing it from spreading to neighboring areas. A 112 alert has been issued.
The Police have implemented traffic restrictions in the Spata area due to a fire currently burning in low vegetation.
Specifically, as reported by the Hellenic Police , vehicle traffic on Rethymnis Street has been suspended at the intersection with the Paiania-Spata provincial road.
